Lower Your Expectations for Snap-on Smile

Posted by writeradmin

I have been trying to save money for porcelain veneers, but life keeps getting in the way. I recently saw an advert for snap-on smile and I believe this might actually be my solution. Can dentists adjust these to look the color I want the way they can with veneers? If so, this would save me a ton of money.

Dear Brooke,

snap on smile

I want you to lower your expectations a bit for your Snap-on Smile. While the color can be adjusted and even the shape (to some extent), it won’t be anything like porcelain veneers. Here are some of the differences:

  • Snap-on Smile is made from acrylic. Porcelain veneers are made from..well.. porcelain. While porcelain mimics the natural-looking translucency of your teeth, the acrylic will look more matte.
  • Snap-on Smile fits over your teeth. This often makes your smile look a bit bulky. Veneers are much thinner and your teeth are prepared for them.
  • Snap-on Smile has limitations in shape. Because they have to fit over your teeth, there are limitations to how much reshaping can be done. The same is not true for porcelain veneers, where you can change the shape, size, and color simultaneously.

My suggestion is if you have lower expectations for Snap-on Smile it should serve you fine for a few years. If you want a stunning smile, get porcelain veneers.
