“So many adults tell me they are still fearful of the dentist because of the negative experiences that had as a child. Getting children to learn to love the dentist is so important because it will help them to keep up with their dental health as they get older.”
A native of Mandeville, LA, Dr. Lindsey Collins attended LSU Baton Rouge, where she graduated summa cum laude, earning a bachelor of science degree in biological sciences in 2005. From there, Dr. Collins began her training in dentistry at LSU School of Dentistry in New Orleans. She graduated in 2009 and received the chancellor’s award for graduating first in her class.
After dental school, Dr. Collins practiced general dentistry treating adults and children. In 2013, she and her husband moved to St. Louis, Missouri, where she began working at a pediatric dental office. Dr. Collins says, “This is when I truly came to enjoy treating children. It is very important to me to create a positive environment where children do not fear going to the dentist.”
Dr. Collins attends continuing education courses each year to learn from experts in the field of dentistry. She feels it is essential to continue learning about new techniques, ideas, and materials and bring them back to clinical practice.
Dr. Collins’s Treatment Philosophy
“I believe in establishing trust with my young patients and their parents to know that I am here to help them and that I always have their best interest in mind. I believe in focusing on the positives when it comes to kids. I want to provide my patients with the information and preventive measures they can use at home to maintain their oral health.”

What Dr. Collins’s Patients Are Saying
“This was my son’s first visit, and of course, I was nervous about how he would act. He started crying, naturally, when Dr. Collins went to count his teeth. She just kept right on doing her thing like it was nothing out of the ordinary, which made me feel a lot better. It was a great experience!” – Renan C
Dr. Collins is married to Andrew Collins, MD, a physician in the Lafayette River Ranch area specializing in allergy and immunology. When she’s not working, Dr. Collins enjoys spending time with her husband and their three children, Sawyer, Caroline, and William.
