Dr. Baudin grew up loving teeth. As a child she would go to the dentist and he would allow her to wiggle her baby teeth out. As she grew older, Rebecca knew she wanted a career that would help people by having a positive impact on their life and health. Dentistry seemed like the perfect fit for her. She went to college, majored in biology and then moved on to dental school. Once she graduated, she moved back to Jennings to be close to family while practicing dentistry.
One of the things she’s passionate about is changing the way patients view going to the dentist. “I recently finished treatment on a 78-year-old. We had gotten to know each other well as I had been seeing her every couple of weeks for the last 7 months. At the end of our last appointment, she shared with me that she had hated going to the dentist her entire life, but finally, after 78 years she now loved going see the dentist. Her children even commented how when she would talk about coming they could tell she was looking forward to her dental appointments. It means the world to me that she gave me the opportunity to be her caregiver and change her perception about going to the dentist.”
Dr. Baudin is married to Hunter. They have two wirehaired dachshunds, Jäger and Vader, and a Goldendoodle named Gracie. When she isn’t working, Dr. Baudin enjoys bass fishing, watching television, being outside, and hanging out with her nieces and nephews.
