I Want the Best Implant Supported Dentures

Posted by writeradmin

I am losing my teeth because of a serious car accident and want the absolute best. My plan is implant supported dentures, but I want to know what is the absolute best material and brand for the dental implants as well as the dentures. I don’t want a dentist short changing me on materials in order to up their profits. If you could provide me with a list, I will know what to tell my dentist to use.

Thank you,

Sara

Implant Supported Dentures

I am going to be blunt and tell you that you are approaching this completely wrong. You can have the best materials, but if the dentist is not up to snuff, you can still end up with a failed dental implant case, or worse.

Dental implants do not have a recognized specialty. This can be a problem for patients because it is up to the dentist to invest in the right training. What you need to do, instead of trying to find the best materials for your implant overdentures, is to find the best dentist to do the procedure and trust them to give you the right materials. You can tell them you want top of the line, but if you try to micromanage, you’ll both be miserable.

So, how do you find the best implant dentists? My suggestion is you look for someone who is a fellow with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. There will be excellent implant dentists that have not met that level, but those who have will have proven their expertise.

I hope this helps and that you don’t think me too blunt. I just wanted to make sure you get the best care. The dentist you choose will be more important than picking the material first.

There are countless dental implant horror stories from patients who ended up with a dentist who did not have enough training. There’s been everything from failed implants, to infections that cost patients part of their jaw. Don’t risk it.
