Can I Just Whiten Specific Teeth?

Posted by writeradmin

I have white spots that cover half of my two front teeth. They look great in pictures, but my other teeth kind of “ruin” it. Is it possible to whiten all the other teeth to match these? My dentist is suggesting I get Lumineers, but that is super expensive. I can’t pull that off.

Lumineers are not what I’d suggest for you. First, they are just one brand of porcelain veneers. This particular brand are often marketed to inexperienced cosmetic dentists. You would not want an inexperienced cosmetic dentist doing any brand of porcelain veneers on you. It will not turn out well. Second, porcelain veneers are used for complete smile makeovers. That is not what you are going for. You simply want to whiten your teeth. That is much less expensive than Lumineers.

Teeth whitening will whiten your teeth. However, it whitens your teeth uniformly. If you whiten all of them, the white spots will get whiter along with the remainder of your teeth and they will still be different colors.

The good news is there is a way you can whiten all your teeth except the two in the front. This way they will look more uniform. To do that, you will need professional teeth whitening with trays. The dentist can custom fit the trays to fit around the two teeth with the white spots. This way only the teeth which need it will be the ones that get whitened.
