Meet Our Doctors
Dr. John C. Theriot grew up in Pierre Part, Louisiana. Dr. Theriot first attended Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana, where he received a four-year degree. In 2002, he earned his DDS degree from the accredited Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in New Orleans. After dental school, he gained experience in a group practice in Houma, Louisiana. He later established his own practice here in Lafayette. He continues his education monthly so he can attain the most recent and advanced information for his patients. There are many organizations that Dr. Theriot is associated with:

- Academy of General Dentistry
- International Congress of Oral Implantologists
To combine with these prestigious institutions, Dr. Theriot has received advanced training in oral conscious sedation, as well as implant training at the renowned MISCH Implant Institute. He has also been trained by the largest oral sedation dentistry continuing education provider in North America—the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation in Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania. Outside of work, Dr. Theriot loves spending time with his wife, Jeannie, and their children, Colin and Londyn. He also enjoys running, playing golf, and competing in triathlons with his wife.
Dr. Kayla P. Soirez is originally from Erath, Louisiana. She earned her DDS degree from Louisiana State University in New Orleans. Prior to dental school she attended LSU, Baton Rouge as an undergraduate. Displaced by Hurricane Katrina in 2005, Dr. Soirez completed her dental education here in Lafayette. She worked in the Acadiana area before settling down with us in July 2007. She is affiliated with the following professional organizations:

- Louisiana Dental Association
- Acadiana District Dental Association
- Acadiana Southern Society
Dr. Soirez has also received advanced training in conscious sedation and Six Month Smiles®. She is continually learning throughout the year by both experience and by taking courses through various organizations. She’s been practicing in the area for 11 years.
In her free time, Dr. Soirez enjoys spending time with her sons, Cameron, Mason, Jackson, and Logan, as well as her husband, Jeremy. She also enjoys watching sporting events and spending time with friends and family. Her goal as a dentist is to help her patients improve their oral health and hygiene and have a better self-image.
Dr. Robin M. Hebert graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2002 with a major in biology and a minor in chemistry. “I always knew I wanted to go into the medical field, but was just unsure of which discipline. Around my last year in college I observed area dentists and saw a few extraction cases as well as crown and bridge cases. I knew then that dentistry was the field I wanted to get into. When a position came open at Theriot Family Dental Care, I was excited to apply. Not only was it the type of family-oriented practice I wanted, but I had met Dr. Soirez some years before and she told me what a pleasant atmosphere it was to work in.” Dr. Hebert is associated with the following organizations:

She has since been practicing in the area for nine years and received advanced training in oral conscious sedation. Dr. Hebert is the youngest of three children and has one brother and one sister. Her father runs a family-owned grocery store, and her mother is a registered nurse. She met her husband her last semester of college and married in July of 2003. Currently, they have three children, a boy and two girls. In her free time, she loves anything outdoors, running, and painting. Her goal as a doctor is to make people feel better about themselves and maintain overall health.
Dr. Joseph Porter, a Baton Rouge native, received his Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Southeastern Louisiana University. He received his doctorate from the LSU School of Dentistry. Along with his Doctorate of Dental Surgery, he has an advanced degree in family dentistry. Dr. Porter is an accredited orthodontist. This means that he is a dental specialist who has completed an advanced post-doctoral course, accredited by the American Dental Association, of at least two academic years in the specialty of orthodontics. While at the LSU School of Dentistry, he was honored to receive the prestigious Baldridge Scholarship, the General Dentistry Award, the Prosthetics Award, and the Diagnosis of Oral-Facial Pain Award. Dr Porter is a specialist in orthodontics and a member of the American Association of Orthodontists.
Dr. Lindsey Collins graduated from the LSU School of Dentistry in 2009. She earned her Bachelor of Science in biological sciences from LSU Baton Rouge. She then received the Chancellor’s Award for graduating first in her class. After completing dental school, she practiced general dentistry treating adults and children. In 2013, she and her husband moved to St. Louis, Missouri, where she began working at a pediatric dental office. She says, “This is when I truly came to enjoy treating children. It is very important to me to create a positive environment where children do not fear going to the dentist.” She also attends courses throughout the year to continue her dental education. She has been a practicing doctor for over six years and has worked in Lafayette for six months.Her husband, Andrew Collins, grew up in Lafayette and is an allergist practicing here in town. They have two children, a son and a daughter. She has enjoyed spending time with her family since she’s moved back to Louisiana. Her goal is to establish and maintain relationships with her patients and make them feel comfortable.
Dr. Kelly Guedry graduated from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in 2013. She completed her undergraduate studies with a bachelor’s degree in biological science. She continues her education every year through various organizations and training. She has currently been practicing in the area for almost two years. She and her family are somewhat new to the Lafayette area, and her parents love to come visit and try new restaurants and events. She is very close to her two siblings, and they are her source for advice as well as her travel buddies. She loves to travel and spend time with family and friends. Her goal as a doctor is to make her patients visit a positive and comforting experience.
We’re thrilled to announce that Jacie Daigle, DDS has joined the Theriot Family Dental Care team!Dr. Daigle is a native of Lafayette, Louisiana. She realized at an early age the power of a confident smile. Thereafter, her educational pursuits were geared towards a career in dentistry. After graduating from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in biology, she worked as a dental assistant for six years. She later received a bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene in 2011 from LSU Health Sciences. She practiced as a registered dental hygienist for two years prior to reaching her main goal of becoming a dentist. Dr. Daigle earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (DDS) from the LSU School of Dentistry in May 2018.Dr. Daigle is committed to providing both quality care and education to patients in order to deliver a more pleasant dental experience. She is eager to offer her skills and services to our loyal patients as well as newcomers!
In her spare time, she enjoys playing music, woodworking and crafting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Kaleigh Redhead is a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She attended Episcopal High School and graduated from Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi with a bachelor’s degree in biology. Dr. Redhead received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from LSU School of Dentistry. She was an avid soccer player all her life, playing for Baton Rouge Soccer Club and for Millsaps College. Dr. Redhead is a member of the Louisiana Dental Association, the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry. Her main goal is to provide every patient with high-quality care while creating a positive, comfortable environment. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, reading, running, and most importantly, spending time with friends and family. Dr. Redhead is excited to be a part of the Theriot Family Dental Care team!

Carly grew up with an aunt and cousin in the dental industry. Her respect for both of them is what drew her to become a hygienist. She loves the relationships she builds with clients, whose teeth she’s been cleaning for years.
Carly loves running. Her heroes are Chrissie Wellington and Scott Jurek. She has a husband and a son and could live on the Ferdie’s Special at the Pizza Shack in Opelousas.
In another life, I’m pretty sure I was… The First Lady.
If I won the lottery tomorrow, I’d… Travel to New Zealand.
If I could invent a holiday, it would definitely involve… Sand, sun, fun and no schedule!
Keisha completed her Bachelor degree in Basic Sciences from LSU, and her Bachelor degree in Dental Hygiene from LSUSD. She has been with our team for over 14 years, and works diligently each day to create the best possible experience for our patients. She loves the teamwork at our office.
Keisha and her husband, Stuart, have two children, Bennett and Kate. She enjoys spending time camping and fishing with her family, as well as running.
Melana is a graduate of Southern University. She has been with our team since 2016, and enjoys the teamwork at our office.
Outside of the office, Melana loves to exercise and spend time with her family.
In another life, I’m pretty sure I was… A caterpillar, now I’m a butterfly.
If I weren’t so darn good at my job I’d probably be… A motivational speaker with a Cajun accent educating on nutrition.
If I were a superhero, my superpower would be… Unconditional love.
Rikki has been with our team for over five years. She is a team player and is dedicated to providing excellent customer service. Her favorite thing about our office are her amazing coworkers!
Rikki and her husband have one son. Outside of the office she enjoys working out and spending time with her family.

Ambre graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from LSU in 2011, where she was also the 2011 Hygiene Class President. She joined Theriot Family Dental Care in 2011 and worked for four years as a hygienist before moving to New Orleans. In 2018, Ambre returned to the area and once again joined our team. Ambre enjoys being part of such a hard-working team, and has fun with our team and our patients while striving to make each patient feel at ease during their appointment.
Ambre has been married since 2016. She lives in Youngsville and has two dogs and three cats. She enjoys reading, cooking and hanging out with her dogs and cats in her spare time.

The best piece of advice I’ve ever been given is… Be honest.
If I weren’t so darn good ad my job I’d probably be… A house flipper or chef.
Emily earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from LSU in 2007. She attended LSUDS New Orleans for her Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene, graduating in 2009. She joined our team on a temporary basis in Fall 2019 and became a full-time employee in January 2019. She loves the city of Lafayette, and loves being able to have the amazing people of Lafayette as her patients. Emily loves working with an amazing group of people who make her laugh. She enjoys meeting and getting to know each of her patients as she helps them maintain optimal oral health.
Emily and her husband Jared have been married since 2011. They have two active children, Lillian and Harrison. Outside of the office, she enjoys being outdoors with her family, running, Pilates, tennis, going to festivals and going on vacation.
If I won the lottery tomorrow I’d… Travel the world with my family.
What’s your favorite comfort food? Roast and gravy.
If I were a superhero, my superpower would be… Being invisible.
Mandy joined our team in July 2017. She works with children to show them at an early age how important oral hygiene is, and loves being able to help children when they feel nervous.
Cats or dogs? Dogs.
What is your favorite comfort food? Chocolate or cookies.
If I were a superhero, my superpower would be… Shapeshifting.
Autumn joined our team in 2017. She loves working with children – seeing their personalities at such young ages makes her day. Each day Autumn learns something new about her patients, and they learn a little from her.
Autumn is the youngest of three children. She likes to hike with her dogs and all other outdoor activities. Her hobbies include hiking, kayaking, gardening, watching TV shows, dancing in the rain and spending time with her nieces.
In another life, I’m pretty sure I was… A turtle.
The best piece of advice I’ve ever been given is… Wash your dishes.
If I weren’t so darn good at my job, I’d probably be… A stunt double.
Shani joined Theriot Family Dental Care in June 2013. TFDC is by far the best office she has worked for and been part of, and she is always grateful to come into work each day and work with a wonderful team of people whom she loves being around. She appreciates being part of not only a team, but a family, and loves helping our patients understand dentistry so that they are more comfortable in our office.

If you were a pasta shape, what shape would you be and why? A shell, because there’s a baby in there.
If I weren’t so darn good at my job, I’d probably be… Rescuing animals from the streets.
Leah has been with our team for over nine years. She loves her coworkers, and helps keeps our office running smoothly by ensuring we have all the materials and supplies we needs.
Leah enjoys traveling with her family, reading a good story, cooking and baking.
In another life, I’m pretty sure I was… Part of the Royal Family.
If I won the lottery tomorrow, I’d… Remodel my entire house!
If you were a pasta shape, what shape would you be and why? Bowtie because of the hourglass figure.
Chasity graduated from high school in 2012 and completed her training in dental assisting at Acadiana Area Career College towards the end of 2012. She achieved her EDDA certification and joined our team in 2014. Chasity loves the people she works for and with, and loves seeing our patients leave with a smile after their visit. She also enjoys using the new technology that we have in our office.
Chasity’s parents are her best friends and she has one younger brother who she adores. She loves to run, and completes at least one half marathon each year as well as several 5k runs.
If I won the lottery tomorrow, I’d… Pay off the bills, buy a house and visit Bora Bora.
What is your favorite comfort food? Ice cream and cookies.
If I were a superhero, my superpower would be… To read people’s minds.
Alyssa has been with our team for over two years. She enjoys making our patients happier with their smile and working alongside Dr. Daigle to help with each of her patients.
Alyssa is very close with her family. She loves to fish and enjoys watching Netflix after work.

When I was 5, I was pretty sure I’d grow up to be this… A veterinarian.
Taylor attended Comeaux High School and furthered her education at Southwest Dental Academy. She has been with our team since 2017. Taylor provides our patients with a calm, fun and stress-free environment, and enjoys that we are all team players working together to provide the best possible care.
Taylor has a toy poodle named Chief, and loves to work out and cook in her spare time.
If I won the lottery tomorrow, I’d… Buy so many workout clothes and shoes.

Brooke joined our team in 2018. She loves meeting new people each day at our office and helping make our patients lives easier.
Brooke is engaged, and is a mother to a fur pup named Cooper. She enjoys scrapbooking and large floral backdrops in her spare time.

What is your favotie comfort food? Mexican and margaritas.
When I was 5, I was pretty sure I’d grow up to be this A lawyer.
Paige has been with our team for 5 years. She loves working with children to give them a good dental experience and appreciates how well everyone in our office works together. Paige brings a positive attitude with her each day.
Paige and her fiancé have one son, and Paige loves making new memories with her family whenever she is not in the office.

The most important thing I learned before high school was… Change is okay.
Amanda joined our dental family in August 2014. She understands all aspects of our office, and can help at the front desk, in the clinic and with insurance as needed. She enjoys being part of a team where everyone gets along like family and works together to help our patients.
Amanda has one daughter, Remmi Grace.

If I weren’t so darn good at my job, I’d probably be… a stay-at-home mom.
When I was 5, I was pretty sure I’d be this when I grew up… a lawyer.
Alexis is an EDDA-certified dental assistant, and has been with our team for 10 years. A family member told her about an opening in our office, and she submitted her resume and began working as a dental assistant in our office that same day. She felt right at home from her first day with us, and enjoys that our team has grown into a big family over the years, making it so wonderful to work here.
Alexis married her high school sweetheart, with whom she has two daughters, ages 4 and 1. In her spare time, she enjoys getting together with friends and family and watching sports events.
In another life, I’m pretty sure I was… a Broadway star.

When I was 5, I was pretty sure I’d be this when I grew up… a professional gymnast.
Inger has been with our team for 11 ½ years. She enjoys being part of a team that works together so well, and works hard each day to be the best she can be at her job.
Inger has a wonderful husband, Darren, and an awesome 17-year-old daughter, Madison. Outside of the office she enjoys gardening and bargain shopping.
In another life, I’m pretty sure I was… a throw back from an earlier time.

Sonya joined us from Gonsoulin Dentistry. After 17 years in a smaller practice she transitioned easily into our practice. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration at UL. She answers patient questions and helps them manage their dental care. Sonya’s favorite thing about the practice is the feeling of family from both our patients and other staff members.
Sonya loves interior design and staycations at home with her family.

Rachel joined Theriot Family Dental Care in 2017, bringing with her six years of experience from her time at Gonsoulin Dentistry. She loves that we are a large, fast-paced office which still maintains a mom and pop feel where you are not a number but a friend.
Rachel has three daughters. She enjoys anything arts and crafts, fashion and finding good deals.

Claire graduated from STM in 2016, and joined our team in 2018. She is currently attending UL for a degree in Health Services Administration. She goes above and beyond to make sure our patients are comfortable and happy as soon as they walk through the door. Claire enjoys being able to work alongside sweet and happy people while seeing them help so many patients.
Claire is engaged and teaches dance at Gerami Academy.
In another life, I’m pretty sure I was… A monkey at the zoo.
If I could invent a holiday, it would definitely involve… A Christmas tree (no matter what time of the year).
If you were a pasta shape, what shape would you be and why? A spiral noodle, because they are so cute and each can be different and hold so much flavor.
Tanya completed her degree as a certified nursing assistant in 2002, and has been with our team for 13 years. She ensures that our accounts are up-to-date and helps our patients get the most out of their insurance benefits. Tanya’s favorite part of our office is working together as a team to give our patients the best possible care.
Tanya and her husband Ryan have four children, Chloe, Brylee, Mia and Parker.
If I won the lottery tomorrow, I’d… plan a family getaway.
The best piece of advice I’ve ever been given is… Life is a journey, not a destination.
When I was 5, I was pretty sure I’d be this when I grew up… a baby doctor.
Sabrina achieved her Expanded Duty Dental Assistant certification in 2007. She began working with Dr. Gonsoulin in 2000, and transferred to Theriot Family Dental Care in July 2017. She loves being part of a family-oriented practice where everyone works as a team. Sabrina always gives 100%, and is as helpful as possible to her coworkers and patients.
Sabrina has been married to Shannon for 22 years. Together they have two daughters, Katlyn and Kinsley, and two cats, Lucky and Callie. They love going to the beach and camping whenever they can find the time to get away.
The best piece of advice I’ve ever been given is… Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
If I weren’t so darn good at my job, I’d probably be… sitting on the beach every day!

Meet Our Baton Rouge Team!
Tina joined our dental over 15 years ago! In 1992, she graduated from LSU with a Bachelor of Science in finance, and then in 1995, she graduated from the LSU School of Dentistry. She enjoys the intimate relationships she has been able to cultivate while she has worked at our practice.
Tina has been married for over 20 years and has two children. In her spare time, she enjoys exercising. She loves both cats and dogs. When she was 5, she thought she would grow up to be a lawyer. If she wasn’t a hygienist, then she would be a therapist. And if she won the lottery, she would pay off her bills.
Amber has been part of our dental family for over a year. In 2003, she graduated from the LSU School of Dentistry with a Bachelor of Science in dental hygiene. She contributes over 15 years of experience to our practice.
Amber has a husband, Timmy, and two kids. In her spare time, she enjoys running, working out, and spending time with friends and family. If she won the lottery, she would buy a house on the beach. She likes dogs, and her favorite comfort food is pizza.
Traci has been part of our practice for over a year, but she worked for another practice for eight years. She has her certifications as an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant and is trained in all front desk duties which means she is able to assist in all areas of the practice. She likes that we care for the wants and needs of our team and that we feel like a family.
Traci has a son, Trey. If she won the lottery tomorrow, she’d take an extended cruise. Her favorite comfort foods are Mexican and Chinese. When she was 5, she wanted to be a teacher. And if she were a pasta shape, she’d be a bow tie, because it’s so fancy … haha!
