For specific guidelines and qualification requirements, please click on the following link to learn more about the Louisiana Medicaid Dentist services available to you and your family.

For children under the age of 21, the Early Periodic Screening, Diagnosis, and Treatment (EPSDT) Program emphasizes preventative and diagnostic treatment, as well as restorative, surgical, and many other services.

For individuals over the age of 21, you may be eligible for the Adult Denture Program. Services included under this program include the re-lining of dentures and repairs. And if you qualify for a Medicaid-authorized denture, the exam and x-rays will be covered for the manufacturing of the denture. It is important to note that restorative or surgical procedures are not included.

If you are pregnant and Medicaid eligible, there is a program called the Expanded Dental Services for Pregnant Women (EDSPW). You must be between the ages of 21 to 59 and currently pregnant at the time you are treated. Many services are covered including x-rays and exams, routine dental cleanings, cavities, some periodontal services, and certain oral surgery services. After your pregnancy, you will no longer be eligible for the services covered with this program.
