About Us
Dr. Theriot
Professional History
Dr. John C. Theriot grew up in Pierre Part, Louisiana. After dental school he gained experience in a group practice in Houma, Louisiana. He later established his own practice here in Lafayette, where he now works with Dr. Kayla P. Soirez.
Education and Training
Dr. Theriot attended Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana, where he received a four-year degree. In 2002 he earned his DDS degree from the accredited Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in New Orleans.
Beyond the basic requirements to practice dentistry Dr. Theriot has recieved advanced training in Sedation Dentistry and Dental Implants. He is a Fellow at the world renowned Misch Institute, a training-ground in dental implants founded in 1984 by Dr. Carl E. Misch, Clinical Professor and Director of Implantology at Temple University. He has also been trained by the largest oral sedation dentistry continuing education provider in North America—the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation in Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania.
Personal Interests
Outside of work Dr. Theriot loves spending time with his wife Jeannie and their children Colin and Londyn. He also enjoys running, playing golf, and triathlon.
Dr. Soirez
Professional History and Education
Dr. Kayla P. Soirez is originally from Erath, Louisiana. She earned her DDS degree from Lousiana State University in New Orleans. Prior to dental school she attended LSU, Baton Rouge as an undergraduate. Displaced by Hurricane Katrina in 2005, Dr. Soirez completed her dental education here in Lafayette. She worked in the Acadiana area before settling down with us in July 2007.
Personal Interests
In her free time Dr. Soirez enjoys spending time with her son, Cameron, and husband, Jeremy. She also enjoys watching sporting events and spending time with friends and family.
